Steve Hackett returns to Atlanta as part of his Best of Genesis & Solo Gems tour, bringing together music from his years with Genesis and highlights from a solo career that has continued for more than five decades. The former Genesis guitarist is scheduled to open the 2027 North American leg in Atlanta on April 10 at Center Stage Theater. The show arrives after a busy period that also includes The Roaring Waves, his 2026 instrumental collaboration with Marillion guitarist Steve Rothery.
Steve Hackett in Atlanta
Hackett’s current live show is built around two sides of his catalog: the progressive rock he helped shape with Genesis in the 1970s and material from his extensive solo career.
For Atlanta fans, the Center Stage date is especially notable because it launches the 2027 North American run of the Best of Genesis & Solo Gems tour.
From Genesis Classics to Solo Gems
Hackett played on a defining run of Genesis albums including Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. In recent years, his Genesis Revisited tours have kept that material in regular live rotation.
The current format broadens the set beyond a single anniversary album, pairing Genesis favorites with tracks from records such as Voyage of the Acolyte, Spectral Mornings and later solo releases.
A New Chapter with The Roaring Waves
In 2026, Hackett and Steve Rothery released The Roaring Waves, an instrumental collaboration that adds another recent chapter to Hackett’s work outside the Genesis catalog.
That mix of new music, solo history and classic progressive rock makes his Atlanta appearance more than a nostalgia stop.
