Testament returns to Atlanta on May 7, 2027 as special guest on Meshuggah’s Forty-Year Anomaly Tour at Coca-Cola Roxy. The pairing brings together two very different branches of heavy music: Testament’s Bay Area thrash-metal roots and Meshuggah’s rhythmically complex modern metal.
Testament in Atlanta
Testament has remained one of the most durable names from the classic Bay Area thrash scene, balancing early material with a steady run of heavier modern records.
The Atlanta show places the band in a strong support slot on one of the year’s most metal-focused touring packages.
Thrash Metal Meets Modern Extremity
The May 7 bill links Testament’s traditional thrash attack with Meshuggah’s more technical approach and Blood Incantation’s experimental death metal.
For fans of heavier music, the lineup spans several generations and styles without feeling disconnected.
A Long-Running Metal Career
Testament’s catalog stretches back to the late 1980s and includes albums that helped define the second wave of American thrash.
The band’s continued touring presence has kept those songs active while introducing newer material to younger metal audiences.
